desk machine check

See machine command availability before using this command.

Check a saved remote machine before starting work.

Terminal window
desk machine check devbox

check verifies SSH, Linux, tar and tmux. It also reports whether Desk is installed. A ready host does not mean that Desk or an AI agent has been installed or authenticated. Install Desk and your preferred agent on the host before starting work.

Checks have a 30-second timeout. If creation is incomplete, finish it with desk machine create devbox --resume first.
